This 4 night biking programme is based in the village of Luosto, located at the edge of a National Park.Your accommodation will be in traditional log wood cabins, with one or two bedrooms, kitchen area, lounge with log fireplace, shower,wc and sauna. Three guided cycling day - trips are arranged for you in the locality.All evening meals will be enjoyed on an la carte basis at the Hovi restaurant, allowing you to sample such local delicacies as reindeer or salmon, or choose a steak or any other item from the menu. Vegetarians are also catered for, as are special diets (e.g. gluten free, low lactose, nut or egg allergies etc).

Day 1
Arrival at Rovaniemi airport and transfer to your accommodation in the village of Luosto.Welcome a la carte dinner is enjoyed at an atmospheric local log wood restaurant where you can sample some traditional Lappish food. Evening at leisure, take a walk in the village, perhaps trying a sauna in the evening in your cabin!
Day 2
Route: Luosto - Jaakkola Reindeer Farm - Luosto (15 miles)
After breakfast we will begin our first cycling trip, which will take us along a slightly hilly tarmac road for a visit to the local Reindeer Farm. Upon arrival at the reindeer farm we will meet with a guide who will take us on a peaceful walk around the forest with several reindeer, so you will really get close to these Arctic creatures.While we enjoy our walk, our guide will tell us more about reindeer and the way of life in the Arctic regions.A traditional campfire lunch will be enjoyed in the forest before setting off on your journey back to Luosto at your own time. Evening a la carte meal will be enjoyed at the local log wood restaurant. Evening will be at leisure.
Day 3
Route: Luosto - Suvanto Village – Luosto (return by car optional 26/ 52 miles)
After breakfast we will set off towards the Heritage Village of Suvanto, where you will get a chance to spend your day at this historic Lapland village, one of the few here which survived the WW2 intact. Some of the old peasant buildings date back to the 16th Century and the village is well preserved in this idyllic location.You will really get a sense of the days gone by; the atmosphere here is far removed from that of today's hustle and bustle! We will enjoy our lunch in the village, after which you can either cycle back to Luosto or alternatively be taken back by car. Evening a la carte meal will be enjoyed at the local log wood restaurant in Luosto.
Day 4
Route: Luosto - Pyha – Luosto (31 miles)
For our last biking day we will explore the locality of Luosto and Pyha; an area formed of Finland's southern most fell chain.This area is renowned for its magnificent landscape, beautiful natural features and its majestic old pine forests - some trees here are as old as 400 years! We will cycle along tarmac road towards our first stop at the Pyha Nature Centre.You will get a change to do some hiking in the National Park - where there are trails suitable for all fitness levels.A traditional campfire lunch will be enjoyed in the wilderness. In the afternoon we will cycle back to Luosto. Evening meal will be enjoyed at the local restaurant.
Day 5
After breakfast you will have time do some shopping before lunch, after which return transfers to Rovaniemi airport for your flight home.
Optional excursions and activities can be booked at our Safari House in Luosto. These include; fishing, boating, Midnight Sun and River cruises, bird watching treks, horse riding, visits to Husky Farm, Nordic walking and forest scooter trips, among others.
